The country development plan, Thailand 4.0, has caused a major change in the social direction advancing from analog society to digital society. This change has happened globally affecting people’s way of life. Digital economy and society era Digital that technology had not only just a tool to support work but also truly integrate into people’s lives and the structure of economic activity patterns ,production processes, trade, services and other social processes including the interaction between people will change completely. Thailand therefore has to accelerate the use of digital technology as an important tool in driving the development of the country. In the context of Thailand Digital technology can answer the challenges facing the country or increase opportunities for economic and social development such as transcending the middle income trap, development of business capabilities in the country both agricultural production and service especially for SMEs and community enterprises to compete in the modern world, adaptation and seizing opportunities from economic integration, solving social inequality problems, management of entry into an aging society that is challenging the development of Thailand, etc.

With the mentioned importance, the academic network cooperation, BENJAMITRA along with foreign institutions, is holding the 9th BENJAMITRA National and International Conferences in a topic of Economics and Social  Development on 28 May 2019 at North Bangkok University, Rangsit Campus aiming to benefit teaching and learning, development of students/faculty/researchers, research improvement, publication, knowledge exchange, and other aspects. Furthermore, this conference helps to expand the academic network cooperation in the near future for sustainability knowledge development.
